BBL

BBL is the Rolls Royce of phototherapy! The BBL Forever Young has clinical evidence published in a Standford University study which demonstrates anti-aging changes at the molecular level. This machine can change the expression of your genes and deliver younger skin, reversing the signs of aging.

BBL utilises Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser to provide outstanding rejuvenation and is the world's most powerful laser in its class. It has very detailed, safe and customisable settings with in-built cooling meaning the treatment itself is very tolerable and has minimal down time.

Moxi 1927nm Laser

MOXI laser is a non-ablative laser that creates microinjuries in the skin to stimulate cell regeneration and the production of collagen and elastin. MOXI is gentle yet effective at improving skin texture and outstanding at treating pigmentation including melasma. The incredible technology utilised means it has the exceptional results of more aggressive laser treatments but with far less down time.  It is safe to use on all skin types and can be performed all year round, including summer!


SkinTyte

This is Scitons answer to improving skin firmness and elasticity. It works particularly well around the jaw, neck, abdomen and can even be used under the eyes. SkinTyte is the most advanced skin tightening technology for laxity and sagging, it is safe for all skin types. The use of non invasive infrared light energy delivers pulses in order to initiate the healing process and thus results in the induction of collagen and firmer, tighter skin. This is a no down time treatment.

More About This Treatment

  • As always, you will require a consultation to determine if you are suitable for BBL and MOXI laser. You are not suitable for laser treatment if you:

    - are taking Roaccutane
    - are pregnant
    - have been tanning in the sun or in sun beds in the weeks prior or plan on tanning in the weeks following treatment
    - have fake tan on their skin
    - have a history of skin cancer or have not had a recent skin cancer check

    BBL laser is suitable for patients of all skin types who have fair to medium skin tone. Patients with darker skin tone are not suitable for BBL as this can lead to further darkening and hyperpigmentation of the skin

    MOXI laser however can be used on all patients and skin types including patients with darker skin tones.

  • Please come to your appointment make up, moisturizer and sunscreen free. It is also important not to tan in the sun or solariums for 2 weeks prior to your appointment. Please also ensure you do not have a spray tan on.

  • Prior to BBL we will cleanse your skin then apply a gel to your skin and goggles to your eyes to protect them from the laser. When the laser is being used, you can expect a mild warmness to the skin, especially when treating rosacea and redness however most patients tolerate the treatment very well.

    MOXI requires the application of topical numbing cream 20-30 minutes prior to the treatment. During the treatment you can expect slight warmness or a prickling sensation to the skin and your skin will feel hot for a couple of hours afterwards.

  • It is common to experience some swelling, redness and dryness to the skin following MOXI laser. Rare side effects from BBL or MOXI laser can include hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation and scarring.

  • There is generally no downtime following BBL. You may experience some mild redness or darkening to freckles or sun-spots.

    Following treatment with MOXI you can expect some swelling, redness and dryness to the skin. Your skin will appear rough and flaky for approximately 1 week however you are able to apply makeup 24 hours afterwards.

    We will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions following your treatment. Following these instructions will help keep any adverse effects to a minimum. We also advise to only use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser and avoid excessive heat on the skin for the following 24 hours.

  • This will be discussed at your initial appointment and will depend on your skin’s needs. We would usually recommend 3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart for maximum benefit. Some patients will then opt for a yearly treatment to continue to build on the effect and further reduce the signs of ageing.
